Minyan Needed for Shabbat Services 8:00 p.m., Friday Evening, February 11 (8 Adar I)

Shabbat Services will begin at 8:00 p.m. at Beth Shalom on February 11, weather permitting.  Fred Rosenberg and Kabuika Kamunga have yahrzeits for their mothers and would like a minyan so they can recite Kaddish.  Please join us Friday evening.

Shabbat Candle Lighting Times for Fairfield

Shabbat (candle lighting) begins at 5:19 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 11 Shabbat ends (Havdalah begins)  Saturday, 6:20 p.m. in Fairfield.



Torah Study with Rabbi Alan Green Saturday, 2:00 p.m.

Rabbi Alan and Chaya Green are in Fairfield. Rabbi Green will offer a Torah study group on Shabbat afternoon, February 12, at 2:00 p.m. at Beth Shalom.

Kabuika Kamunga, member of the Beth Shalom Board of Directors, became an American Citizen on January 21 in Des Moines!

They should choose the option for the Central Area Consortium trip.     **** Who should apply to this special offer?

  • Any Jewish student who studies or works in Iowa, ages 18-26
  • Any Jewish student whose family resides in Iowa but who may be studying or working elsewhere. ( We can even extend this offer to a close Jewish friend or relative of the applicant, if they qualify for birthright Israel!)
