Minyan needed for Shabbat Services, Congolese Kiddish
Friday evening February 19 (Adar 6)

Join us for a Musical Shabbat Service Friday evening February 19 and a Congolese – Middle Eastern – Indian kiddush, sponsored by Kabuika Kamunga, in honor of her mother’s yahrzeit. Service will start at 8:00 p.m., at Beth Shalom, led by Cantor Haim Menashehoff.  Please join us and help make a minyan for Kabuika to recite Kaddish. Shabbat Candle Lighting Times for Fairfield
Shabbat (candle lighting) begins at 5:38 p.m. Friday, February 12; Shabbat ends (Havdallah begins) Saturday, 6:38 p.m. in Fairfield.

Purim Celebration, Services Friday, February 26

Purim will be celebrated at Beth Shalom on Friday, February 26.  (The Fast of Esther starts Thursday evening at 5:12 p.m., February 25;  Purim is Sunday, February 28).

Beth Shalom’s Purim festivities on February 26 start with a combined Purim and Shabbat service at 8:00 p.m., There is Free Admission if you come in costume.  A Potluck Dessert Kiddish follows.  Please bring a “Purim-themed” dessert or nosh — like Hamantashen, or Krelach (for recipes, try: http://www.chabad.org/holidays/purim/article_cdo/aid/1365/jewish/Recipes.htm).
