Shabbat Services Friday evening, March 26 (Nisan 11)
Services will be starting at 8:00 p.m., at Beth Shalom, Friday, March 26. We had previously announce that Fred Rosenberg would be observing the yahrzeit of his father at Beth Shalom, but we received this update from Fred:
Dear Friends,
I’ve got the opportunity to join our family Seder in Detroit, and I’m going to jump on the chance. (First time in 10 years.) Since I’m leaving tomorrow (Friday), that means I won’t be attending Friday night service at Beth Shalom.
Happy Pesach!
Fred Rosenberg
Passover
Passover begins at sundown on Monday, March 29, 2010. We had previously announced a deadline of March 24 to R.S.V.P. for the Beth Shalom Community Seder. Our president, Julie Blum has this update:
Friends: I put a few Seder reservations “aside” for those of you who have not had a chance to sign up, for one reason or another. If you would like to come, please call Julie at 472-3757 to see if those seats are still available.
Shabbat Candle Lighting Times for Fairfield
Shabbat (candle lighting) begins at 7:09 p.m. Friday, March 26; Shabbat ends (Havdallah begins) Saturday, 8:09 p.m. in Fairfield.
Mazel Tov!
To Shoshanah (Rabinoff) Wilkerson, daughter of Robert Rabinoff, who just passed her Boards in Oklahoma after graduating from Hawaii-Pacific in January, and is now a full-fledged RN.
Please Support Beth Shalom With Your Donation
We need to raise $6,000 in donations as soon as possible to cover our basic operating expenses for the rest of the year. Donations received so far this year have been lower than in previous years and we have had $3,000 in unexpected building repairs.
Our synagogue has added so much richness to our lives in Fairfield over the years. We hope that you will continue to support the synagogue with your participation and a much needed tax deductible donation so that we will continue to exist as a place of worship, comfort, joy, and spiritual renewal when you need it, and a silent support for us all at other times.
It is easy to donate. Remember your donations are tax deductible.
