Yizkor Service, Minyan Needed for Sabbath Services at 8:00 p.m., Friday Evening, April 13 (21 Nissan)


The eighth day of Passover is one of 4 dates in the Jewish calendar when we observe Yizkor, the short memorial service for the departed.  Also, this Shabbat, Fred Rosenberg will be observing the yahrzeit of his father, and Ben Winkler will be observing the yahrzeit of his mother, Reba WinklerJane Pitt will lead services, testing out a new siddur.  Please join us and help form a minyan, so all who want to can recite Kaddish.

 

Shabbat Candle Lighting Times for Fairfield

Shabbat (candle lighting) begins at 7:28 p.m. on Friday, April 13. Shabbat ends (Havdalah begins) Saturday, 8:30 p.m. in Fairfield. 


Thanks for Passover Community Seder


Thanks to Michael Sternfeld,our Seder leader, Shai Perelson who read for us in the Mother Tongue, Jane Pitt who provided musical accompaniment and Fred Swartz for his insightful commentaries. Thanks also to Lisa Cohen. Kathryn Druker and Natasha Plamadjala for setting up the banquet room and preparing the Seder plates,  Marc & Susan Berkowitz who coordinated the entire event, Revelations for catering and all those who attended. It was a very joyous, memorable celebration.
