Shabbat Services will begin at 8:00 p.m. at Beth Shalom on October 22.  Service will be led by Haim Menashehoff.

Shabbat Candle Lighting Times for Fairfield

Shabbat (candle lighting) begins at 5:59 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 22; Shabbat ends (Havdalah begins)  Saturday, 6:57 p.m. in Fairfield.

Ari Berman’s New Book: Reading in Iowa City Thursday, October 21

Mazel Tov to Ari Berman, son of Warren and Harriet Berman, on the publication of his first book, Herding Donkeys: The Fight to Rebuild the Democratic Party and Reshape American Politics (Farrar, Straus & Giroux).

Ari will be giving a reading of the book at Prairie Lights Bookstore, Iowa City, on Thursday, October 21 at 7:00 p.m., as part of his nationwide book tour.

Warren and Harriet have arranged for a free bus to the event from Fairfield. To RSVP,  phone Warren’s office: 472-4887 as soon as possible today.
